If you time your visit carefully you can visit Kennedy Space Center and view a Space Shuttle or Delta rocket launch. From nearby Cocoa Beach see a live launch across the Florida waters. One of the best places to view a Space Shuttle take off or rocket launch is Jetty Park which is close to Ron Johns surf shop on the A1 at Cocoa Beach. There you can walk out onto the long wooden jetty and and view the launch straight across the water. At night, the rocket is floodlit and makes an impressive sight as it sits on the launch pad. Jetty Park (321) 783-7111 is at Port Canaveral, on the Atlantic Ocean just south of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station border. Both Space Shuttle and expendable launch vehicle liftoffs can be viewed from here. The park is open all day year-round.

When you are planning your holiday in Florida, don't book a villa without checking the NASA Space Center Launch Schedule. You can also call (321) 867-4636 or 1-877-893-NASA (6272) . This NASA recording provides details on space shuttle flight schedules. NOTE - the schedule can change so don't base your holidy totally on it! A variety of vehicles such as the Space Shuttle, Atlas and Delta rockets are launched throughout the year. You can watch their launch from a number of venues around Cocoa Beach. We have found Jetty Park especially good.

So if you are planning a holiday to visit the Kennedy Space Center, rent our villa through Florida Vacation Rentals Orlando and visit the Space Coast where you will find both space and airforce museums and exhibits.
